感恩節是親朋好友相處團聚的暖心時刻，每年這個時候親朋好友都會聚在一起分享感謝！ 上週六 #美國在台協會 很感謝有機會在宜蘭市立圖書館 #美國資料專區和 #臺北市立大學 的古建國老師一起合作舉辦「感恩節Maker共團聚 - 手作美食大樂團」活動，為小朋友帶來多元的學習體驗，將想像力化為實際的作品！古老師藉由兩本中英文版、活潑有趣又發人深省的感恩節繪本帶出感恩節精神，接著引導小朋友用陶土捏製感恩節美食，並搭配Makey Makey發明工具箱以及Scratch程式，讓宜蘭在地水果變身成彈奏樂器。美好的週六在30位小朋友的感謝卡分享以及歌曲大合奏聲中完美落幕！我們下一次活動再見，敬請期待！
Thanksgiving is around the corner! At this time of the year, family and friends gather together to share their gratitude. Last Saturday, AIT was excited to partner with the Yilan City Library to host a Thanksgiving-themed Maker event. 30 students from elementary schools throughout Yilan visited our American Shelf. Through picture books and hands-on activities, Professor Gu from the University of Taipei helped students transform clay and Yilan local fruits into an orchestra with Makey Makey kits and the Scratch app. This gave students a glimpse into how technology and the arts can merge in really fun ways. We hope these students were inspired to continue exploring, creating, experimenting, learning and developing their maker spirits!
